If there is one place for ice cream you need to visit in the Hudson Valley- Catskills area it is Alleyway Ice Cream. This little hidden nook in off of partition street offers creative flavors that you won't just see anywhere and are not just interesting, but tasty to the palate as well. If you want to take some home with you, you can also ask them to prepare a pint of any flavor to take back home. I highly recommend checking them out. (Only open seasonally)
Krause’s Chocolates
41 S Partition St Saugerties
One of the best chocolates you'll eat that's local. Coming in, the sheer volume of different types of chocolate is impressive; everything is made on premises, including the different seasonal varieties. One of my favorites are the chocolate orange peels. They also have nonpareils, which come in white, milk and dark chocolate. Chocolate covered blueberries, coffee beans and raisins are also solid choices, as are the crunchy chocolate pumpkins around Halloween. I recommend going to Krause’s!
